what is Virtual #HACK 2022?

#HACK is an annual global hackathon convened by Indigitous that brings together the collective skills of technologists, ministry workers and anyone else desiring to put their faith and talents to work for Jesus on mission-focused, technology-enabled projects with long-term impact. This year, we're fostering global collaboration and uniting participants around the world with a virtual option.

What can I do?

Are you an engineer, designer, church leader, content creator, data cruncher, illustrator, project manager, videographer, social scientist, ministry worker or someone who wants to contribute creative, tech-enabled solutions to bring the Gospel to new people, places and spaces?

Software Developer


Possible work or academic background:

Computer Science


Possible Task:

Lead developing and designing the main parts of the software application, including frontend and backend development

Visual Designer


Possible work or academic background:

Art, Design, Communication, Videography


Possible Task:

Create assets and aid in visual design of software and website. Create assets for branding materials

Data Analyst


Possible work or academic background:

Data Science, Math, Computer Science


Possible Task:

Analyze and use data from transcription in order to aid in searching through the data. Aid in determining sermon categories,

Possible work or academic background:

Christian Ministries, Linguistics, Church History, Theology


Possible Task:

Offer insight on the theological implications or use cases of the product in ministries. Research and produce content related to faith and technology

Business Plan Developer


Possible work or academic background:

Possible Task:

Develop a business plan or cost analysis and help define requirements for the software product
